Mental Health & Case Management
Many families facing serious mental-health challenges have very few places to turn for steady, compassionate support. The leaders we partner with recognized this need firsthand and asked LEADStrong International to help them build a mental-health case management model grounded in dignity, faith, and long-term care.
We believe God places us exactly where care is needed most.
This team invited LEADStrong because Dr. Jones’s background in counseling, training, and program development offers the support they had been seeking. Her involvement helps create clearer pathways for caregiver training, family support, and community awareness around mental health.
The goal is clear: to build a sustainable, community-run model of care that strengthens families, equips local caregivers, and provides consistent support without outside control.
The need is significant and resources are limited, yet the team receives LEADStrong’s guidance with gratitude. We walk beside them as they grow, helping them develop a model they can carry confidently within their own context and community.
Project Update: Rwanda Mental Health Case-Management Initiative

Across Rwanda, churches and communities are stepping forward to address the growing need for mental-health care and emotional support. LEADStrong is honored to partner with the very first mental-health case-management initiative of its kind, helping leaders develop a framework that cares for the whole person.
Nearly 30 leaders were trained in a first round of workshops that focused on the spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical well-being of those facing trauma, loss, and long-term emotional challenges. Community awareness is rising, stigma is decreasing, and leaders are now equipped to walk alongside individuals and families with compassion and skill.
This program continues to expand as more teams request training, mentorship, and support. Our role is ongoing—coaching leaders, offering organizational development, and helping build a sustainable care model for churches and ministries throughout Rwanda.
God is growing a movement of leaders who are loving, counseling, and serving their communities in profoundly redemptive ways.
