Joanna Jones was raised in Zambia, surrounded by the pastors, families, and worshiping communities that shaped her faith. Africa is the place she calls home, the place where she first saw the strength of the Church, and the place where God first stirred a desire in her heart to serve those who are called to lead it.

That calling followed her into her education—degrees in psychology, counseling, and leadership development—forming the tools God would later use to strengthen ministry leaders across the continent. As she grew in her faith and professional training, so did her conviction that the Church in Africa did not need to be rescued. It needed to be strengthened from within.

Today Joanna teaches and coaches leaders throughout multiple African nations. Her work has helped pastors develop new ministries, counseling centers, leadership schools, and community initiatives that care for the vulnerable and disciple the Church. In every one of these settings, she has witnessed the same truth:

Pastors are stepping into their calling with new confidence. Churches are learning to care for the hurting. Young leaders are being trained in biblical wisdom and counseling skills. Ministries serving orphans, the mentally ill, and those battling addiction are growing stronger because they are led by those who understand their culture and context.
