Leadership Coaching for Community Development Leaders
At their invitation, LEADStrong has come alongside a truly unique local team in Bujumbura, Burundi that has been working to create radically impactful programming to bring the gospel and to address the everyday needs of children, single mothers, families, and populations disenfranchised by addiction or severe and persistent mental health diagnoses in their community. Within a short time they have created a vibrant community center offering comprehensive child sponsorship services, counseling, training, mentoring, and community development gatherings of all sorts. They have had such success that the team has also opened a satellite site and secured land to expand similar work into an area with even greater need.
The team invited LEADStrong International to walk with them because Dr. Jones’s experience in leadership coaching and development offers support in areas where they were seeking training and coaching partnership. Her role includes mentoring the leaders, providing board oversight, and offering the kind of steady input that helps them to carry their vision forward.
The goal of this project remains steady and simple: to support a community-led effort that shares the healing love of Jesus in cares for the poor and disenfranchised, strengthens families, and creates consistent care for children who would otherwise be without it.
Supporting this project provides leadership training and coaching for the executive team as well as providing extensive training seminar work for the leaders to which this team is reaching out to help! YOU are making a huge difference in the leadership journeys of leaders key to reaching this region for Christ in Word and in deed.
